About usRodney Gray is principal consultant and managing director of Employee Communication & Surveys Pty Ltd, a "boutique" consultancy specialising in employee communication and employee surveys (including values surveys and internal service quality surveys). Before becoming a consultant 25 years ago Rodney was head of human resources for Rheem Australia Limited, Honeywell Limited and FNCB-Waltons (Finance) Corporation. He also held senior human resource positions with International Nickel and AMOCO. In addition he has been General Manager, Management Education and Organisation Development of the Australian Institute of Management (NSW). He also worked as Executive Manager, Strategic Planning with Westpac Banking Corporation. In his consulting career Rodney has worked with Towers Perrin, Strategic Consulting Group and Chandler & Macleod; and was Manager Human Resource Consulting and Manager Change Strategies for Westpac Consulting (Westpac Banking Corporation). Rodney has a BA and Diploma in Labour Relations and the Law (both from the University of Sydney) and an MBA (from the University of Technology, Sydney). He has also completed the Advanced Program in Organisation Development and Human Resource Management conducted by Columbia and Michigan Universities in New York. Rodney is a lecturer/tutor to Masters students in Communication Management at the University of Technology, Sydney (Organisational Communication Management and Research for Communication Professionals); guest lecturer at Charles Sturt University, Bathurst; and sometime guest lecturer to MBA students and participants in public and in-company programs of the Macquarie University Graduate School of Management. He has delivered over 90 conference papers and workshops on employee communication and employee surveys including a paper to the IABC International Conference in Vancouver in 2006. Memberships
