Employee SurveysFor more than 25 years Rodney Gray has been conducting employee surveys of leading Australian organisations in both the public and private sectors, and with from 35 to 35,000 employees. The surveys conducted have been mostly tailored, comprehensive employee opinion surveys but there have been exceptions (e.g. special culture, values, law firm partner surveys, and surveys of internal service quality). These days I conduct very few employee opinion surveys as the major survey companies (e.g. ISR, Hewitt) are used by most of my clients. But if there are special reasons why you need a "boutique" survey provider feel free to make contact with me. Surveys can be paper based (often with reply paid envelopes) or online (generally on an external website to ensure confidentiality and anonymity). Most surveys are processed with benchmarking using a database of Australian employee survey results of around 120 organisations. I also provide a "key driver analysis" (sometimes known as a "core issue analysis") which shows the extent the various survey factors are statistically correlated to overall satisfaction, commitment, retention (or whatever). In this way we ensure clients understand what the top priorities are in the view of employees. Sometimes I get asked to advise on surveys (e.g. what do my Hewitt findings really mean?). And it is not at all unusual for me to get asked to design questionnaires both for organisations that wish to run their own surveys, or for other consultants who need a survey specialist to set up a survey correctly so the results are meaningful. |
